PayTabs plugins make the integration with the PayTabs payment gateway very easy by providing a ready-made and easy-to-install plugin that enables you to be ready and go with a few steps to get you up and running with your business.

How to install the plugin?


By following the below steps, you will integrate your system in no time without even needing a technical background. 


You will need to delete any previous PayTabs plugin before installing a new one. To know how to do this please check our Uninstall the plugin? solution article.


  1. Log in to your merchant dashboard. 
  2. Navigate to “Xero” under the “PRE-BUILT INTEGRATIONS” section from the Developers menu on the sidebar menu.

  3. Then, click on the "Connect to Xero" button as shown in the picture below:

  4. This will redirect you to the Xero website to allow you to choose the organization you want to connect with to install the PayTabs plugin,then click on "Allow access" button as shown below:


  5. At this point, finally, the plugin would be installed/connected successfully, and you will be redirected back to your PayTabs dashboard, as shown below:

  6. The next mandatory step will be to activate your plugin, follow below.

    The activation step must be done right after installation to avoid losing tha authorization (that will force you to reinstall the plugin again).


And here you are, finished installing PayTabs' Xero plugin, and you can run on the ground with your business just after activating the plugin, as shown in the next step.


How to activate the plugin?


By following the below activation steps, you will activate the PayTabs plugin in no time without even needing a technical background:


The activation step must be done right after installation to avoid losing tha authorization (that will force you to reinstall the plugin again).


  1. Log in to your Xero account.

  2. Navigate to  Payment Services, from "Add Other" button click on "Custom Payment URL"


  3. You will be asked to fill in the following inputs...
    3.1. Customized account name
    3.2. the link can be found on the Paytabs dashboard in the following figure 
    3.3. Customized bottom text

  4.  Login to your merchant dashboard.

  5. Navigate to “Xero” under the “PRE-BUILT INTEGRATIONS” section from the Developers menu on the sidebar menu. 

  6. Copy this URL

  7. Paste the copied URL as show below:

  8. Finally, the PayTabs payment will be shown in your Xero account as shown below:


  9. And here you are, finished installing/activating PayTabs' latest Xero plugin, and you can run on the ground with your business.


    In case you face any error screen/message in your activation, which will be most probably due to a time gape between the installation and the activation, please deactivate the plugin at all, and re-install it all over again.
