Supported Regions
AMAN is available as an alternative payment method in Egypt only.
Activation Requirements
As a merchant, you need to have the following requirements:
- Active account on PayTabs. To know more about how to create an account on PayTabs and what the requirements check our solution Activation Requirements article.
What are the Features that AMAN Supports?
This payment method transactions will have the following features:
- Transaction type: Sales ONLY.

How to activate AMAN?
To activate "Aman" as a payment method, you shall have :
- An active merchant account in PayTabs
- Active Aman terminal / account
- Merchants in Egypt can enable this payment method as an APM directly by raising a request to customercare-eg@paytabs.com along with your merchant ID.
AMAN Payment Workflow (User Experience)
The AMAN payment method is hosted by PayTabs, which means that it will be managed and processed on our side. You can have the same page embedded in your checkout page by following our How not to redirect my customers to an external payment page. (iFrame/Embedded Mode).
When the cardholder proceeds to checkout on the merchant side, they will be redirected to the PayTabs hosted page, where he can choose the AMAN payment method.

After the customer enters his phone number he will be redirected to a page where he can find the AMAN REF Code and he can pay with that REF code and press the continue button to return to the merchant's website/application.
The continue button will not show up to the customer if you didn't add a Return URL for this button.
The Settlement Flow
You can request a payout by following the article below, and it'll be subject to the minimum payout added by the risk team verification through your onboarding process to request a payout follow our solution article How to Initiate Payout.
The Refund Process Flow
Please note that PayTabs doesn't support refunds for AMAN as this can be handled from the merchant side directly with the customer.
